Info

The Grateful Dead is the debut album of the Grateful Dead. It was released by Warner Bros. Records in March 1967. According to the biographies of both bassist Phil Lesh and drummer Bill Kreutzmann, the band released the album as San Francisco's Grateful Dead. The album was primarily recorded at RCA's Studio A, in Los Angeles, in only four days. The band had wanted to record the tracks in their hometown of San Francisco, but no recording studios in the area had modernized equipment at the time. The Grateful Dead seemed to enjoy playing at The Spectrum in Philadelphia, and shows like this one so illustrate why I chose to go back to the city of brotherly love year after year. Too many of my friends think that because of my bad influence this is the only city that they ever played in. Compare two opposites, outdoor shows such as the Summer 1989 Alpine run against this indoor run at The Spectrum. This is why we went to shows. Some people were handing out American Dead Cross - Help's On The Way Tour 1989 stickers and they seemed quite apropos. The Grateful Dead was an American rock band formed in 1965 in Palo Alto, California. The band is known for its eclectic style, which fused elements of rock, folk, country, jazz, bluegrass, blues, gospel, and psychedelic rock for live performances of lengthy instrumental jams and for its devoted fan base, known as Deadheads. Their music, writes Lenny Kaye, touches on ground that most other groups don't even know exists. These various influences were distilled into a diverse and psychedelic. Текст песни: I went down to the mountain, I was drinking some wine Looked up in the heavens Lord I saw a mighty sign Writting fire across the heaven, plain as black and whit Get prepared, theres going to be a party tonight. Uh-huh, hey, Saturday night Uh-huh, one more Saturday night Hey, Saturday night. Now everybody's dancing down the local armory With a basement full of dynamite and live artillery The temperature keeps rising, everybody getting high Come the rocking stroke of midnight, the whole place going to fly. Hanging on a Saturday night One more Saturday night Hanging on a Saturday night One more Saturday night OW One more Saturday night Hanging on a Saturday night One more Saturday night One more Saturday, one more Saturday night, woo. Thank you, we'll see you next time we're in town. Grateful Dead - The Spectrum. Sep 21. Dead at the Spectrum. Remember that. I had more fun in the Spectrum then in any other venue. I grew up in a little town Phoenixville about 20 minutes from Philly this is where I got to hang with some of my most dearest friends having the best times of our lives. I didn't get to see my first show for another 12 years, but they seemed to blow the lid off that place everytime. Jerry performs in the Bay Area the night after this, 922, in a benefit w Merl Saunders. Then he's back on the East Coast for consecutive nights in Waterbury, the 23rd and 24th. Oh to be young, talented, and in demand. Grateful Dead The Spectrum March 19, 1995 A Monkeyface Production Audio Courtesy of Dan Sisler and Tim Grateful Dead never managed to issue a follow up to its 13th studio album, 1989s Built to Last. But, if they had, what might it have sounded like Thats the question at the heart of Grateful Dead: Ready or Not, a newly released collection of songs that the fabled Bay Area band added to its repertoire during the final years of its long, strange trip. Many Deadheads expected that the band would eventually take these new tunes - such as So Many Roads, Easy Answers and Lazy River Road - into the recording studio and the result would be the bands 14th studio album.
