A little bit disappointed by this pressing. Globally clean but there is a little bit background noise here and here and some light crackles. Not very disturbing but for the price...A cleaning with a RCM did'nt change anything. And I'm not sure this kind of inner sleeve (in PVC ?) is good for the vinyl.

Amazing box edition and pressing. One detail is the inner-sleeve, Ultra-top quality like the Mofi Original Master Sleeve but even more gross. Sound in the latest black edition (purchased in boomkat summer'19) , for audiophile people is quite quite good. This is the kind of record that i expect when i pay around 80€.

I picked up the 3XLP (plain, black vinyl version) and it sounds incredible. Carefully inspected each side and they're all flawless. Plays without any additional noise. Each disc appears completely flat too. Very happy with this release!

It seems this is became out of stock from record stores as soon as it came out, do you know if they sold out that quickly or did they stop distributing due to concerns about the pressing?

large, visible scratch that affects play on track 3 of the A side (black vinyl version). also the center labels on the b side are pretty gnarly - raised, wavy, etc. other than that it sounds great so far, don't have a problem with surface noise at all. just an awesomely curated collection. hopefully i'll get a replacement for the first record.

Black version sounds excellent all the way through; no issues whatsoever. Definitely seems like the way to go on this one.

Gorgeous release. I must say, the standard black version here is absolutely the way to go— silent, perfect RTI pressing, ideally suited for delicate music of this type. I have also heard the blue and clear versions, and they are significantly less faithful. Caveat emptor on the colored releases.

Just curious: on reviews for both the clear vinyl and blue indie variants of this recording you have posted comments about the inferior pressings of each over the black RTI pressing. I assumed your comments were made based upon reasonable and often correct generalities and assumptions concerning the density of, and artifacts inherent in many colored wax pressings. This is indeed often the case with colored vinyl vs. black: often but _not_ always. In the reviews for this - the black version of the records, you further elaborate on your other cut and paste comments, stating that you have heard the title on all three colors. I am wondering: under what circumstances did you get next to a copy of all three versions and have/take the time to listen to them each? Not saying you didn't hear these, but do you work in the industry, at a store, or for some intermediary concern where you were able to avail yourself of all three? Or did you buy all three? Maybe you and your friends did a shootout wherein you each brought a different color? Would be interested in how you concluded as you did. Thanks.

Essential release, beautiful artwork and packaging. I opted for the black version as coloured vinyl often has extra surface noise which is not what you want for this delicate music. Great work Spencer Doran and Light In The Attic!

Perfectly silent, no surface noise at all. A wonderful compilation of tracks featuring ambient piano, keyboards and vocals. It looks gorgeous on blue vinyl too.
