The Who - The Origins FULL ALBUM - GREATEST BRITISH ROCK BAND - Продолжительность: 1:02:19 Vintage JukeBox - Don't Stop The Music Recommended for you. Rollo the Summertime is a 1970 album recorded by Mungo Jerry. It contains their biggest hit, In the Summertime and its B-side, Mighty Man. Also included are the country hits, San Francisco Bay Blues, recorded in 1954 by Jesse Fuller, Arthur Gunter's Baby Let's Play House, also from 1954 and Woody Guthrie's Dust Pneumonia Blues which also appeared on the B-side of In the Summertime. All other tracks were composed by Mungo Jerry's lead singer, Ray Dorset on his own or with fellow band members. The Who had been around for a decade, which for a rock band felt like an eternity. His mind turned back towards the band's early days playing wild sets to hordes of mods hopped up on pills. He decided to write another rock opera, this time about a young Who fan named Jimmy battling with girls, his parents, his friends and even his own mind. Touching on real-life incidents like the Brighton Beach brawl between mods and rockers the double album Quadrophenia was a worthy follow-up to Tommy, though this time, kids all around the world related to Jimmy and his intense feelings of isolation. this is yet another great show from the whos 1972 late summer/early autumn european tour, the sound quality on this recording i would rate at b-- and i would call it an ok audience recording for the die hard who fan, also i love the version of long live rock and magic bus on this recording, well you can always look at the who files book but this was the first who gig in brussels belgium since 1966 so this was there first belgian show in 6 years at this time and i always loved this boot as in petes slightly drunken banter he states WE HAVE NOT PLAYED HERE IN BELGIUM SINCE 1966, WE PLAYED HERE UNDER A TENT BACK THEN, I NEVER FORGOT ONE THING ABOUT BELGIUM AND THAT IS HOW BORING IT IS HERE needless to say i don t think the fans where amused but i sure was and still am after years of spinning this show on and off, great post whos next 72 euro gig!! great japan killing floor release to
