The Power to Believe is the thirteenth and to date, last studio album by English progressive rock band King Crimson. The Power to Believe was preceded by the companion studio EP Happy with What You Have to Be Happy With 2002, which features alternate and otherwise unreleased tracks. The Third Power were a three-piece rock group from Detroit, Michigan who released their only LP 'Believe' in 1970. Consisting of Jem Targal vocalsbass, Drew Abbott guitar and Jim Craig drums, the Third Power's stock in trade was heavy, post-psychedelic rock in the classic Detroit mould. They often played at the legendary Grande Ballroom supporting local heroes the MC5 and were viewed as Detroit's answer to Cream, though they were much less blues-based preferring amped-up Detroit-style rock, although Targal's bass lines provided a surging, throbbing pulse reminis.
