Abbott and Costello were an American comedy duo composed of comedians Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, whose work on radio and in film and television made them the most popular comedy team of the 1940s and early 1950s and the highest-paid entertainers in the world during World War II. Their patter routine Who's on First is one of the best-known comedy routines of all time. Their popularity waned in the early 1950s due to overexposure and their film and television contracts lapsed. In comedy, I've always love slapstick comedy, from them, The Three Stoogies and Charlie Chaplin, though looked down as silly, I find it inventive. Though I love to watch slapstick, it's good too to just give a listen, I find it rather fun to imagine the scenarios & the gags from one's thoughts, to let imagination run freely that.
