The striking lead vocals of Tabitha Fair are ingeniously mixed to evoke a sense of spaciousness. An atmosphere, if you will, that is utterly riveting. Tim Heintz, who programmed the music, has crafted a series of soundscapes that brings to mind the music of Enya, without ever plagiarizing her. No two 'psalmodies' are alike, but taken together, they bring the sacredness of the Book of Psalms to life in a hauntingly beautiful way. I love how Deirdre Nicole Close has arranged these songs. This version of the Psalms is what I curl up with when I'm sick and feeling mighty bad. It's been such a blessing. ( I just wish that the vocals on some of the verses were a little clearer - I'm still trying to read scripture and figure them out) [And the phrasing on the first track "Lead me to the rock that is higher,,, than I for you" instead of "The rock that is higher than I, for you" Every time it reminds me that I need to accept what God allows here - it will be perfect in Heaven.]
