I see why people are upset, and this might be a cheap bootleg, but the original is too much, and this is a really good song, even if it is a bad way of preserving it. plus Jamaican artists hardly ever made royalties, Coxsone many times ripped off artists and then violently intimidated them. i'm just saying, you do not need to rage over this one thing. side note, songhai was a Malian empire that dominated the western Sahel in the 15th and 16th century, and is still a west african ethnicity.

Bootlegs today do have a real impact on artists and I can give you many examples where bootlegs just like this one have taken food off the table for Jamaican artists. I'm not going to name and shame online but glad to message you directly and given you many examples. It's even common for legit releases to not pass royalities onto the artists, be it intentionally or because they just can't locate them... let alone performance royalties from YouTube, online mixes, compilations, radio play, where any earnings just 'evaporate'. King Culture may well still be alive, so if this is such a big issue for you, why don't you, Canabistiva16 and JoeSafe track him down + contact the maker of this bootleg and persuade them to pass a percentage of profits onto him? Your justifications are ridiculous. A small time bootleg? Many pressings of tunes are little more than 300 so that is not small time that is the reggae business! Everett Cooper is still very active and easy to get a hold off and this could have been licensed properly and put the money into the hands of the man who created it!
