Info

The Very Best of Chicago: Only the Beginning is a double greatest hits album by the American band Chicago, their twenty-seventh album overall. Released in 2002, this collection marked the beginning of a long-term partnership with Rhino Entertainment which, between 2002 and 2005, would remaster and re-release Chicago's 19691980 Columbia Records catalog. In Europe, a greatest hits compilation was released as The Chicago Story: Complete Greatest Hits with a different track listing. Альбом 2002 Песен: 39. Number of discs: 2. Chicago commemorated 35 years of playing together with the career-spanning 2-CD anthology ONLY THE BEGINNING. Chicagos early hits included 25 Or 6 To 4, Saturday In The Park, Just You N Me, and Baby, What A Big Surprise. These songs helped to solidify their early reputation. Their chart assault in the 80s continued with ballads like Hard To Say Im SorryLook Away, Hard Habit To Break, and the quintessential love song Youre The Inspiration. Wrapping up this 39-song set is Sing, Sing, Sing, a collaboration with The Gipsy Kings. Cover Design: Grass Logo Track Listing: Ma. support, it nevertheless is very satisfying, since it rounds up all of the hits, and Chicago were at their very best on their hits. For anybody who has been holding on to all three Greatest Hits collections, this will replace them all, since it has almost every song from all three, plus remastered sound. The Very Best of The Doobie Brothers by The Doobie Brothers Audio CD . In Stock. Ships from and sold by . Subtitled - Only The Beginning. Double disc with 39 hit singles spanning Chicago's complete 35-year history. Including the 1 singles 'If You Leave Me Now,' 'Hard To Say I'm Sorry' and 'Look Away'. This album is the same: the first disc is a great chronicle of the cutting edge, innovative sound of the band when they first started. The second disc shows the band as they turned into a ballad factory, essentially losing the horns and leaning heavily on 80's synthy keyboards. It dates the band's sound and illustrates their descent into irrelevancy.
