The Bride is the fourth studio album by English singer-songwriter Natasha Khan, professionally known as Bat for Lashes. It was released on 1 July 2016 by Parlophone. The album was produced by Khan, with co-production from Ben Christophers, Simone Felice, David Baron, Dan Carey, Jacknife Lee and Matt Aqualung Hales. The Bride was preceded by the digital promotional release I Do, then followed by the singles In God's House, Sunday Love, Joe's Dream, and the double A-side release of If I Knew. Bat For Lashes returns with a conceptual but underwhelming new album. The Bride. Bat for Lashes. Released July 1, 2016. The Bride Tracklist. I Do Lyrics. The Bride is a concept record, centred around a protagonist whose husband-to-be is killed in a car crash travelling to their wedding. Natasha Khan then drags us along as she comes to terms with his death, going on their honeymoon alone, and rediscovering her own identity. The only track I'm on semi-good terms with is Sunday Love, which mimics, instrumentally at least, the style of Daniel it also feels less disjointed than In God's House, which tries to counterfeit a couple of pre-2010 Bat For Lashes 'hits' all at once
