Strange album I must say. I bought it mainly for the Graham Wood-tracks as anything by that man is sonic gold, even up to this day. And yes, I love his contributions on this compilation. Marcus Henriksson brings us something classy too, as always, though I don't feel it belong to the musical story being told.

I have to agree with pd_. I feel a bit robbed paying full price for a trance album consisting of 6 tracks and 47 minutes. With all respect for Yuta bringing back life to Matsuri I really wonder what he was thinking when releasing this album. Thanks for the three tracks mentioned above, but I know you can do much better.

If you like progressive and slower goa trance, as seems to be more common in Japan, this compilation might be for you. Tracks 1, 5 and 6 are real gems if you like slow burners. I have experienced some of these on a dancefloor lately and damn, they can do magical things if used right!

Track 2 is the odd one out on this release. It's much faster than the others, strangely arranged, and unfortunately very short and suffers from too much limiting. However, track 4 suffers from the limiting a lot more, even distorting in places, which is quite a shame.

That said, all tracks are mastered very differently. As mentioned, tracks 2 and 4 are too loud (with too much limiting), and track 1 seems to run on a low pass filter (though it sounds like it is intended and is not really a problem). 3, 5 and 6 are perfect.

Lastly, the release is very short-lived in total, running only 47 minutes. There are EPs with more content, yet this CD is album-priced. In return, at least, worldwide shipping of the CD is free on Bandcamp.

The track Graham Wood - Slow One, was released 2 years ago, in the compilation "Lucid Flux" by Anjuna Records, under the name "Spaced In". The small differences in duration (7:29 vs 7:41) is because of a different recording. It is very hard to see it as a different mix... However "Slow One" is the correct title of the track.
