Anything prior to The Yes Album is cut out, no attempt is made to salvage snippets from Relayer or Tales from Topographic Oceans Drama and Tormato are dispensed with. What remains is what made this band great: the science fiction and fantasy-laced epics, the tangible wizardry of their arrangements, moments that crystallized the magical power of music, and two unreleased live tracks from 1978 that find the band tethered to the realm of mortals. Yes - The Yes Album 1971. Yes Album is the third studio album by English progressive rock band Yes, released on 19 February 1971 by Atlantic Records. The original CD release of this album (circa 1987) used the original CD releases (or digital masters thereof, rather) of The Yes Album, Fragile and Close To The Edge as sources for the tracks coming from those albums. The Fragile tracks cancel out in a null-test with no volume matching done, therefore, these tracks were direct clones. The tracks from the other albums had about .8dB added to them, and once the volume is matched, these too cancel out.
(Tested using a US press of Classic Yes and Close To The Edge, JP-for-US of The Yes Album and WG-for-US of Fragile.)

I can't speak to the sources of the remaining three tracks on the album but I would be interested in knowing if Wondrous Stories was cloned from a digital master of the then-yet-to-be-released CD of Going For The One (assuming it was already in the pipeline at that time.)

Why is this listed under "singles"? Isn't it an LP with a bonus 7" single? Or in other cases/versions just an LP?

Does this version include the 7" single? The cover pic has the sticker but its not mentioned in the detail or should I another release with the single?
