Sorry just a slight amendment, with the exception of a couple of song from a year or so either side, this compilation is mostly releases from the year 1969. So technically it's not representative of the 1970s, but 1970 is when this album was released and when I first listened to it. So that's the era it will always represents for me.

Listened to this album again tonight and the time just flew by.
In my opinion side 1 is much better than side 2, but overall there are a lot of great song on this album and it's a great representation of the 1970s. If I could only pick one compilation album to represent the decade of the 1970s, this one would be a very strong contender.
