The Red Hot Chili Peppers kick off an old Stevie Wonder song Higher Ground with their usual funk rock. My favorite song on the CD and also one of my favorite songs of all-time is Under the Milky Way by the Church, a very thought-provoking song which features a bagpipe solo. when's the last time you heard that in a song. I bought this album on cassette when it first came out and still enjoy listening to it It's a compilation of songs that are odd in their own right and odd in their combination. The album was released on 27 October 1977 through Virgin Records amid controversy arising from the use of the coarse slang word in British English bollocks in its title. Older versions of most of the album's songs also appeared on a bootleg album called Spunk, which consists of demo recordings the band had made during 1976 and January 1977, and which was released shortly before Never Mind The Bollocks. Lyrics - 10 Jonny Rotten and Glen Matlock's lyrics are either good or bad on this record. Songs like God Save the Queen or Anarchy In The UK have outstanding lyrics but other tracks like Bodies are really bout nothing. Afroboy267 wrote: This album is shit Its just a load of noise they decided to record and publicise it the lyrics are just plane awful and the music even you want to hear a decent punk album listen to green day - american idiot or blink 182 - enema of the state.
