It has really been a trip down memory lane. tracks I remember from school, college etc. It was so much more vital and alive than any music we had ever heard before that it needed a new category: Rock & roll was much more than new music for us. It was an obsession, and a way of life. For some of us, it began a little later, with our first glimpse of Elvis on the family television set. But for those of us growing up in the Fifties, it didnt seem to matter how or where we first heard the music. Our reactions were remarkably uniform. Its hard to rank these because I think all the records have at least some redeemable qualities, but I feel. On Album Minus Band, Laura Stevenson wrote a song on it, Arrogant Sons Of Bitches member Sean Qualls wrote a song on it. Like Beard Of Defiance and Showerbeers : I dont hate either of those songs, but they kind of led to the next two or three years of people coming up to me at house shows and being like WHATS UP, BRO.
