Is there a way to tell which colored variant you have without opening. Both sleeves have identical stickers and numbering?

Manufacturing defect is what I've heard through the grapevine,at least in regards to this particular variant.A coworker ordered it and it had the same issues. He was told he could return it for a refund.I listened to a different variant and it sounded good enough that I know I wish to own it now.

Anyone else have issues with their copy? I have a bunch of skips and surface noise. Cool looking record but... :/

Thanks. I've been able to get it so that there's only a couple of skips. Better than not having it - it is a very cool record. Does your sleeve have a misprint on it? On mine they misspelled Ian Hunter's song to read: Good Man in a Band Time...ha!

Thanks for the tips. My set up is pretty good. You know what helped? Removing my dust cover when playing the record...lol. I realize that sounds silly but I only recently learned that leaving it on can cause reverberations and thus, skips etc. In this case, that actually helped a little bit! But this is just a bad pressing. There is surface noise and a couple of tracks have some bad pops/skips, which sucks. Based on the other reviews i know it;s not just me. Had to get the glow in the dark one though.

Glow in the dark variants almost always have issues. They are the least good sounding...but their novelty is that they glow. If you want the best sound quality always go for black vinyl. Colour vinyl can sometimes be hit and miss...especially if its a splatter/haze version compared to a solid colour.

I have read a couple of commercial reviews that also indicated sound quality issues with the Glo-in-the-Dark variant of this album. Surface noise was the primary complaint. May simply have to do with whatever process it underwent to make it glow. I have the picture disc version, also from Night Fever Records, and mine sounds absolutely 100% perfect all throughout.

You might need to just adjust your anti-skating on your turntable...it probably more to do with not enough adequate weight on your needle to stay in the groove of the record...Or either your counterweight is not set right as well...Make sure and check the counterweight of the arm on your turntable as well as the anti-skating adjust and you should be fine...lots of good vids on Utube about how to do it...Hope this Helps!
