Like many of the labels releases, there are no track titles or artist names given for 3, 6, 9: The Trinity Alignment. Cast into the unknown, listeners will have to rely on the sounds within to guide them through this alien territory. As is often the case with LSD releases, the tracks here are obtuse synthscapes that flit between ambient techno, experimental electronic composition and music concrete. Its not all stern electronics, mind - the C-Side fronts tracks with a greater emphasis on the human voice, and C3 even has a light Balearic feel to it

Agreed on Side C, all four tracks are outstandingly weird DIY-feel pop. A&B too out there for me. Seems there were at least four compilers behind the earlier releases, at least two well-known and respected in the Chicago house and early cosmic disco scenes. Not sure how many are still involved, but it feels like Side C was compiled by someone other than the A & B.

As usual, you can say the quality isn't great, but it's not the point of these releases to produce high-quality replica bootlegs. Thinking of these more like mixtapes, ways of discovering new stuff. Too bad the artists aren't compensated (although I did buy the official Mark Lane reissue on the back of hearing it on this...)

Side three is excellent. Funky, weird, independently minded electronic gear that really stands out and makes you want more.

Sides one and two feel cobbled together without any direction. Unmoored from the original artists' context, it's just bland synthetic wallpaper looking for an ear to attract, without success.

This certainly isn’t the worst outing from LSD. In fact it’s the best I’ve heard in a while from the label. True, it’s all gimmicky and the bootleg aspect is kind of lame, but whatever.
