However, hearing some of the recordings he made with Freddy Martin definitely changed my mind. Merv was fabulous. His vocal on this recording is pretty much perfect in every way, and while I'm still amused, now it's because that's what Merv intended. It's a funny performance and a great, GREAT, tune.
