Le blues de la racaille released on 2 December 1991, was his debut album where he explored social issues such as unemployment, poverty, racism, becoming a figurehead for a whole generation of disenchanted French youth. His third album Récidiviste in 1995 gave the successful singles, Pour tout le monde pareil and a collaboration with rai star Cheb Mami in Fugitifs. David Grammont alias Tonton David est un chanteur français de reggae né le 12 octobre 1967 à la Réunion. Il participe à la fin des années 1980 au Sound System High Fight International qui regroupait à l'époque d'autres artistes comme Nuttea ou encore King Daddy Yod. Il contribue alors au développement du reggae et devient un des pionniers du raggamuffin français grâce à son titre Peuples du monde présent sur la compilation Rappattitude produit par Virgin en 1990.
