Change of Heart is a song recorded by American rock band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. It was released in February 1983 as the second single from their fifth album Long After Dark. It peaked at number 21 on the U. Billboard Hot 100 chart. The B side, Heartbreakers Beach Party, was exclusive to this single and remains unreleased on CD. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers is the debut album by the band of the same name, released on November 9, 1976 by Shelter Records. The album was recorded and mixed at the Shelter Studio in Hollywood, California. Initially following its release, the album received little attention in the United States.
