The pressing plant who made the LPs, United, has a reputation for less than stellar quality control - including TMR releases. Likely not just you.

My copy has 2 "Side III" labels on the red one. Has anyone else had this or is mine a super rare variant worth millions? Or maybe its like a "golden ticket" to hang out with Jack at TMR headquarters!? Holler at me Jack. But for real, I'm guessing its an error but I haven't heard back from TMR

This vault LP has some really good things. The packaging is ace, probably one of the best from the vault in ages, and even though both recordings are quite similar, they thankfully don't sound too similar. The highlights of this release have to be 'Im Bored', the 'Astro' medley and the early version of 'Dead Leaves...'However, the recordings ain't that great, and in all honestly, these show's ain't as great as their later shows. Also, they don't credit who recorded the shows, which really bugs me.Overall, I suggest you try and get this if you are a massive White Stripes Fan. The release is good, but you honestly ain't missing much besides the ones I highlighted.

It's the roughness what it makes special for me. I really like that! This records shows how The White Stripes started outside the USA and it's some kind of an "important" peace of rock music history.

Yea, both shows are recorded different. I guess this adds to the diversity of both recordings, making them sound even more different. And yea, the early version of "I just..." is pretty cool too.

Agree on everything. My heart sank as the first track started and I realized how rough these recordings are, but listening through the whole thing, it's a good release. I believe the sound is better on the second set. Packaging is great, and the second red disc is very pretty. One other track I loved was this early version of "I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself.
