The Toys Sing A Lover's Concerto and Attack was the sole album of the girl group The Toys. It was released in 1966 right after the success of the group's first two hits, both of which are mentioned in the album's title. Yesterday is the only cover song on the album. The rest of the tracks are all original material that were written by the Toys' producers, Sandy Linzer and Denny Randell. This was the Toys' follow-up to their biggest hit single, Lovers Concerto. The Toys was an American R&B girl group from Jamaica, New York which was formed in 1961 and disbanded in 1968. The Toys were discovered at a talent show by manager Vince Marc, who introduced them to songwriters Sandy Linzer and Denny Randell. Linzer and Randell wrote most of the songs recorded by them, including their Number 2 hit single A Lover's Concerto, and also produced the group's 1965-66 recordings on Bob Crewe's DynoVoice Records record label.
