It was released on 16 March 1984, on Polydor Records, produced by Paul Weller with Peter Wilson. It followed the compilation Introducing The Style Council, which was released only in the Netherlands, Canada and Japan. The album was mainly recorded at Solid Bond Studios owned by Weller except for the strings which were recorded at CBS. Blue Cafe - The Style Council. Mick's Blessings debut album of the Style Council, Cafe Blue is one of my most favorite albums of all time. It's so creative and still is listenable. Paul Weller is a genius-that's all I can say. Read more. On Cafe Bleu we find Weller experimenting successfully with Jazz, and the smooth rich keys, notes and writing all show how good of a songwriter Weller is. Not only that we find ballads and rap Many Jam fans may not be fans of The Style Council, but this album will reward music fans all across the board. The vinyl is also perfect and is very tastefully coloured
