The Rolling Stones is the debut studio album by the English rock band the Rolling Stones, released by Decca Records in the UK on 16 April 1964. Recorded at Regent Sound Studios in London over the course of five days in January and February 1964, The Rolling Stones was produced by then-managers Andrew Loog Oldham. The English rock group the Rolling Stones have released 30 studio albums, 28 live albums, 26 compilation albums, three extended play singles, and 120 singles. The early albums and singles released from 1963 to 1967 were originally on Decca Records in the United Kingdom, and on their subsidiary label London Records in the United States. It was common practice in the music industry, prior to 1967, for British releases to be reconfigured for the American market. In some cases, the US version would be an.
