When the Rebel Pebbles signed with IRS Records in the early 1990s, the label no doubt had hopes of duplicating its prior success with the Go-Gos. Like the Go-Gos, the Rebel Pebbles were an all-female band from Los Angeles that specialized in exuberant pop-rock and showed an awareness of the girl-group sound of the early to mid-1960s.
