Inspired by the bubblegum and beat groups of the 60's and the wild energy of 70's punk The Kung Fu Monkeys formed in the winter of 1994 when three school chums with second hand instruments and some time on their hands decided to bang out songs when the waves were low. With numerous releases on different independent labels since 1996, the KFM have seen an ever increasing fanbase and are especially popular in Japan and Europe. The Kung Fu Monkeys are a dream inside a reverie inside a biscuit inside the mind of a fly, playing lo-fi kiddie pop and bug beat music and traveling the globe by hot air balloon.
