Nice album. The track 9 (Lost&Found) contains a sample from Alien 3 OST (Adagio by Elliot Goldenthal).

Starts strong, ends weak. The first third of the album is pummeling dark goodness sounding like a rhythmic noise artist gone techno. With the highly repetitive nature of this music, either the loop works and achieves a trance, or it doesn't work and achieves the skip button. 'Basic Loop' at the end of the album is extremely out-of-place and very mediocre. The album should have removed that track and several other tracks in the latter half and gone for 30-40 minutes of consistent quality.

I Have to agree with many of the other reviewers that this album has no equals and that it cannot be successfully stuck into any specific genre. I have searched high and low for another album like this one, and there is not one. Schizoeffective is similar but not quite as dark. For me it was hard to get into at first, but it has become one of my very favorites. The entire think just has this thrashing, evil, sinister vibe that is, as I have already stated, not really comparable to anything else. Don't pass this one up!

This is one of my favorite records of all time.

The album features deep, atmospheric textures and heavy techno beats with an industrial touch. Some tracks are just pure techno tracks though with intelligent and detailed drum sequencing. Send In... Send Back works equally well as either a home listening experience with headphones or at a party with a huge sound system.

My favorite thing with this record is that it is a deep introvert journey. It doesn't matter if you're at home or at a party listening to it. You're supposed to feel the atmospherics by yourself and move to the monotonous beats. This makes the record more powerful I think since it provides you with a platform to which you can add your own fantasies. Just look at how one of the other reviewers describes his experience with the album.

I once heard a famous Swedish singer give a person advice on singing and he told the other guy that he should focus more on the storytelling aspect of singing. This is where this record stands out for me. The producers tell a story with each track and the attention to detail and progressive storytelling is stunning.

A timeless classic.

If Lucifer should one day decide to put his life up on the big screen he won't have to look far for a soundtrack. Fuckin' hell, SISB is the meanest piece of plastic I've ever acquired. In a close battle with Scizoeffective, of course.

Yeah, Delta's own Scizoeffective and X-Dream's Irritant are the only albums I know of I can compare SISB with. In parts, SISB does remind me a lot of Scizoeffective, but SISB seems more accomplished. Where Scizoeffective has three or four tracks with a, well, less devastating vibe, SISB is relentless. There are NO light points here. Dark tech-trance bombarded in your face from start to finish.

That's the strength and weakness of SISB. The strength since the consistency is second to none (X-Dream excluded). The weak link in case you are fond of variety. You won't find any here. To enjoy this you just gotta blank your mind, let yourself be taken in with the flow, and let the beat and mood be everything. If you can do that, on the other hand, SISB is guaranteed to torpedo you into parts of Psychedelia most people will never tread let alone know exists. Though I presume non-prescription medicine may come in handy ...

As I'm writing my comment, I'm hearing the soundscapes of this CD.

Close your eyes and picture an ominous, malicious train heading your way. You hear it's deep whistles and throbbing clanking. It's heading your way and you cannot move. The train is closing tens of meters per second. You know this train will kill you, you feel its wrath.

Think you got a picture of The Delta's music? You have no idea.

I'd love to hear The Delta performing live. I'd just like to close my eyes and have the ultra-deep basslines of this album gush thru me. Listening to "Send In...Send Back" loud on a good set of stereos will give a good impression of how strong music can be.

This CD will always one of my favourites.

Zahisan
Ultra-heavy bass, monotonous trashing percussive beats that sound like they've been raped with a chainsaw and doomsday atmospheres on top. Sounds good? It is.

If you like it heavy & atmospheric and enjoy getting whipped by distorted german hihats, you *need* this.
