Mauldin on bass. The Crickets helped set the template for subsequent rock bands, such as the Beatles, with their guitar-bass-drums lineup and the talent to write most of their own material. In 1963, the Crickets hit the UK top 40 twice more, with the singles My Little Girl and Don't Try to Change Me, the last of their recordings to reach the charts. The band continued to record.
