The album comprises re-arranged tracks from their second LP What Now, featuring collaborations with members of Wye Oak, The Mountain Goats, Hiss Golden Messenger, Mountain Man and Megafaun. The EP was recorded in one day at Echo Mountain Recording in Asheville, North Carolina, with little rehearsal beforehand.
