Stray Ghost is the moniker of Anthony Baden Saggers, a self-taught Brighton based composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Oxfordshire. Sonder is the second single to be taken from his new studio album A Shade Under Thirty released via Phases Records. Asking us to connect with those who are lost through its mournful refrain, Sonder is a question, statement and declaration in poignant piano prose. Shortly after, blossoming label Dead Pilot Records released the E. P FabulaSjuzhet followed by the twenty minute, single track A House of Gold and Oak. In these tracks we find Stray Ghost ruminating over his own achievements and mortality as the title of the album suggests, but also there are pieces here stimulated by climate change, the horrors of war and the uplifting and enduring swell of love as a counterpoint, musically and thematically, to the sorrow.
