Stoney and Meatloaf is the only album by Stoney & Meatloaf, a collaboration between Meat Loaf and female vocalist Shaun Murphy, released in 1971 on the Motown subsidiary label Rare Earth. Murphy, known for her longtime association with Bob Seger, joined Eric Clapton's band, for Clapton's Behind the Sun Tour in 1985, prior to joining the L. based band, Little Feat, as a lead singer in 1993. The album has never been released on CD. Elsewhere, What You See Is What You Get foreshadows the Steinman touch of song-weaving from cliché, though its toughness doesn't include Steinman's knack for twisting clichés into Möbius strips.
