I don't think 48v is much of anything really. it's a simple piece with a very functional use for me. early this summer, i couldn't sleep due to the lawnmowers, street paving, highways, planes, and air conditioners which kept me rustling in my bed. rather than try to ignore these sounds, i decided to make something that would neutralize. Them something that did not to drown out the sounds through volume or negate them. the goal was to make something that would work to congeal with the disruptive sounds and create a pleasing whole. Steve Flato is a composer and guitarist from San Diego, CA. He is interested in using the wide vocabulary of sounds and techniques found in experimental music to express and process his own internal experiences. He aims to use sound as a therapeutic tool by exploring anxiety, trauma, and loss and its potential for generating personal growth and meaning. A metal mix with the new Steven Slate Drummer 5.
