Bodast was a prog-psych band that formed in May 1968. The name of the band was derived from the first two letters of each of the three founding band members' first names: Bobby Clarke drums, Dave Curtis bass, vocals and prior Tomorrow and future Yes star Steve Howe guitar. Clive Skinner vocals, guitar was also an original member of the group. Album: Steve Howe with Bodast - The Early Years 1990. Bodast also known as Canto were a late 1960s rock group from London, England. Its most notable member was Steve Howe, later to join Yes. Members were Clive Skinner on guitar and vocals, Dave Curtiss on bass and Bobbie Clarke on drums. The group recorded an album for Tetragrammaton Records in 1968. The label had success in the United States with Deep Purple, but went out of business just before the scheduled release date for the Bodast album
