If you're not familiar with Brand, you might liken this album stylistically to some of Steve Roach's work. However Brand departs from Roach in that his pieces have more a feeling of peaceful reflectiveness and detachment, without being sentimental, whereas Roach can be very 'journey-oriented' in mystical intensity.
