Engineering data: Recorded with U-47 Telefunken microphones and Ampex tape equipment. Reproduced and mastered on Scully lathes equipped with Western Electric feedback cutter heads, with full frequency range conforming to 1954 AES playback curve. Recorded in the Esoteric Studios in New York City.

Stefan Wolpe 25 August 1902 4 April 1972 was a German composer. He escaped to Vienna separating from his wife and daughter. He married in Vienna in 1927 and again in 1934. Wolpe went to Palestine and moved in 1938 to the USA where he married for a third time. Wolpe was born in Berlin. He attended the Klindworth-Scharwenka Conservatory from the age of fourteen, and the Berlin Hochschule für Musik in 192021.
