Notes
"All tracks on this record were recorded in various household kitchens, bedrooms, parties and lounge rooms somewhere, sometime between 1980-1981 in the Melbourne metropolitan area. Some tracks were recorded on a Sony reel to reel and others on some shitty cassette player. Again we warn Sick Things are not responsible for anything that might or might not happen!!!"

Forced unwittingly to make loud horrible noises in tiny rooms such as the infamous Duke of York Hotel, the Sick Things quickly deteriorated, only to be spewed out, broken & seperate, to the far corners of the Melbourne Metropolitan area. The Sound of Silence, originally The Sounds of Silence, is a song by the American music duo Simon & Garfunkel. The song was written by Paul Simon over several months in 1963 and 1964. A studio audition led to the duo signing a record deal with Columbia Records, and the song was recorded in March 1964 at Columbia Studios in New York City for inclusion on their debut album, Wednesday Morning, 3 A. When the album tanked, Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel split up. What they didn't know was that their record company had a plan. Trying to take advantage of the folk-rock movement, Columbia Records had producer Tom Wilson add electric instruments to the acoustic track, and released it as a single. Simon and Garfunkel had no idea their acoustic song had been overdubbed with electric instruments, but it became a huge hit and got them back together. Had Wilson not reworked the song without their knowledge, the duo probably would have gone their separate ways. When the song hit 1 in the States,
