Electronic rhythm tracks were usually used to back the acoustic and Asian instruments, and the material consisted of discrete tracks, rather than a lengthy song cycle. It's an ambitious fusion of Western pop and IndianAsian music, but within the context of Chandra's entire career, it's one of her less impressive efforts. Track Listing. Sheila Chandra was born in Waterloo, London, England. She first came to public attention as an actress, playing Sudhamani Patel in the BBC school drama Grange Hill from 1979 to 1981.
