Info
Ceremonial is the second studio album by the American post-punk band Savage Republic, released in 1985 by Independent Project Records and Fundamental Records. It has been remixed and reissued, since 1990, accompanied by the Trudge EP. All CD issues contain only the instrumental versions of the songs. All music is composed by Mark Erskine, Thom Furhmann, Greg Grunke, Bruce Licher, Robert Loveless and Ethan Port. Adapted from the Ceremonial liner notes. These are fully realized works, not just odds and ends in fact, if they had been added to the Ceremonial album, they would have fit in pretty well, and maybe even counted among the stronger tracks. Artist: Savage Republic Los Angeles, US Album: CeremonialTrudge 1985. Hailing from the Los Angeles underground of the 1980s, Savage Republic forged an astonishing reputation for themselves with their legendary performances. Their brand of ritualistically tribal exhibitions blurred the boundaries of Post-Punk and Industrial music. Their music incorporates minimalist bass rumbles, exotic andor militaristic drumming, Arabic melodies, primal chants and even a bit of surf guitar. Savage Republic. Critic Score. Publication date.
