Jay Alan Goodwin SCOTTY FUCKING REAGERS I love Wino with all my heart and soul too but Scott Reagers is fucking OG Doomvocalist. This album CRUSHES. Favorite track: Trail of Pestilence. Die Healing is the seventh studio album by the American doom metal band Saint Vitus, released in 1995 by Hellhound Records. In addition to being their final album before disbanding in 1996, Die Healing saw the band reunite with the original lineup of vocalist Scott Reagers, guitarist Dave Chandler, bassist Mark Adams and drummer Armando Acosta. It would, however, be the last Saint Vitus album to feature Acosta before his death in 2010, and Reagers for 20 years until his return to the band in 2015. Die Healing. An album's worth of unreleased material was written and scrapped, before Saint Vitus started writing for Die Healing, as a trio, with Dave Chandler on vocals. Scott Reagers was then convinced to return, on the premise that this would be their final album and tour, to bring things full circle. The already written material was slightly adapted to a style more fitting for Reagers and they flew to Germany to record it. Reagers, however, quit the band again 10 days into the subsequent tour, leaving the band to cancel the remaining dates and split unceremoniously. Die Healing . CD Album. They made our planet a bloody waste something sour is all we taste poison clouds in ruptured skies they enjoy progress while your children die. We let it happen we sealed our fate we're thinking twice, now but it's too late burning bodies with eyes that glow distorted vision of a life we've known. 1995's very aptly named Die Healing LP. And although this swan song, much like its predecessor, found Saint Vitus putting almost all of their eggs in the basket of sluggish doom tempos, to the dismay of all but the most committed fans of the genre lone exceptions being driving closer Just Another Notch and the quasi-thrashing mid-section of Let the End Begin, featuring a Mark Adams bass solo. The album was recorded in Germany, a country that has always praised and been loyal to Saint Vitus who weren't so popular in their homeland. At some point they even thought of moving here if I'm not wrong but who would leave the Californian sun. I would say the result is a sound that is fuller

Scott Reagers is a singer whose voice and style fits extremely well to Saint Vitus's music. I don't know if they did it on purpose or if it happened naturally but when they had Reagers back in the band Saint Vitus copied themselves. "Die Healing" seems like an attempt to re-create their first two albums. The band is quite successful at this yet as with every copy some dissatisfaction remains.

It's not a classic but a solid if not good – and band-historically interesting – album that should be in your Vitus collection. Not as important as the first five albums though.
