During the recording of their first studio album Life Time in 1987, the Rollins Band recorded three cover songs they frequently played live at the time Do It by the Pink Fairies, Move Right In by the Velvet Underground and Next Time by Louis Prima & Sam Butera. Rollins has always believed in giving the people the most for their money. And this is no exception. The first three tracks are covers which were outtakes from the Life Time sessions, and the last 12 are tracks from a live show in Europe in 1987. This album may not be necessary for the casual fan, but for the devotee of Hank, it is one of the best albums his band has put out. Track Listing. Rollins Band was an American rock band from 1987 to 2006, formed in Van Nuys, California and led by former Black Flag vocalist Henry Rollins. They are best known for the songs Low Self Opinion and Liar, which both earned heavy airplay on MTV in the early-mid 1990s. Critic Steve Huey describes their music as uncompromising, intense, cathartic fusions of funk, post-punk, noise, and jazz experimentalism, with Rollins shouting angry, biting self-examinations and accusations over the grind.
