Ill sleep when youre dead is the second full studio album from New York rapper El-P. It was released on March 20th, 2007 on his definitive Jux label. The album combines many of Els signature sounds from his first album with some psychedelic aspects as quoted from El himself. The album has many political undertones but El calls the album honest, not political in nature. The collaborations on this album are more organic than most because the features come from friendships and people El knows in the area while he is making his music.
