Info
Das Opernglas. Special features. This production is about as traditional as they come: a 1990s Bayreuth production, directed by Wolfgang Wagner, conducted by Giusppe Sinopoli. No acrobats, no flying pretzel monster, no nudity, no decaying rabbit. Boring, I should imagine. You might think that: I couldn't possibly agree. This production is excellent, and strongly recommended. The Bayreuth Festival German: Bayreuther Festspiele is a music festival held annually in Bayreuth, Germany, at which performances of operas by the 19th-century German composer Richard Wagner are presented. Wagner himself conceived and promoted the idea of a special festival to showcase his own works, in particular his monumental cycle Der Ring des Nibelungen and Parsifal. For the most part, in recent decades the Bayreuth Festival has been a veritable chamber of horrors when it comes to opera stagings, the most recent example being the widely publicized Katherina Wagner abomination of Die Meistersinger. The 1982 Bayreuth version features dull, drab sets by Wolfgang Wagner and some. Parsifal by Richard Wagner Performer: Poul Elming Tenor, Falk. Посмотреть сведения об участниках альбома, рецензии, композиции и приобрести альбом CD от Parsifal - Bayreuther Festspiele на Watson as Kundry is properly a soprano as Wagner instructs, which means that she can rise to the higher passages in Act Two without any sense of strain. Again, Waltraud Meier is more subtle in various textual nuances. Hans Sotin is a rich-toned Gurnemanz - he also took the role in the earlier Wolfgang Wagner production. Although he could be more expressive he makes much of the words and he never evinces the slightest sense of strain even in the longer-limbed and high-flying parts of the role. What makes this new reissue so compelling is the conducting of Giuseppe Sinopoli
