Let's get something straight. Collectors are a strange bunch. This album doesn't seem to be worth much, but I can tell you that if it was some underground private press and not a mid-'70s Takoma release, I think this album would draw a small cult-following. I'm not saying it's the most revolutionary rural rock LP out there, but it's strikingly pure and surprisingly good. The fact is, this must be a case of people judging a book by its cover. If the record happened to be issued on a tiny Minnesota label and given a psychedelic cover, you can bet every collector of country/folk rock gems would pine for it.
