It was later released in North America through Republic Records on 16 November 2004. Recorded in a span of two years at El Cortijo Studios in Málaga, Spain, the album was produced by the band. Reise, Reise is the fourth album by Rammstein. It was released on September 27, 2004. The working titles of the album were Amore, Rosenrot and Rot. During the recording sessions for this album, the band recorded and finalized 17 songs. Six of them were later released on the album Rosenrot. These were: Rosenrot. Wo bist du. Hilf mir. Feuer und Wasser. Ein Lied. Additionally, the following unfinished demo songs were recorded that were later reworked. Rammstein was always a band that centred around polarity and controversiality. It is this same grit, anger, and heaviness that can be found on Reise, Reise. While the overtly obvious Techno influences have been shed in favour of a more atmospheric and melodic sound, the band nevertheless still mucks about with downtuned riffs which blitzkrieg their way around the speakers, Till's ridiculous bass vocals, and beautiful keyboard effects to enhance the atmosphere. All the elements are present to make a good Rammstein record. And it makes a good one. Lindemann is on excellent form, vocally as well as lyrically, he shows he has mastered the craft of singing. REISE, REISE. Taking three years to release their follow-up to MUTTER is a good idea since REISE, REISE is more of the same - the same grit, the same growl, and the same dramatic, orchestra choruses. There's a bit more ingenuity in the production and a little more focus in the songs but not enough for the nonfaithful to pick up on. Unfortunately the lead single, Mein Teil, is no Du Hast, but the damning Amerika almost equals their breakthrough track
