Being a big Reinforced records fan I made it a mission to track a copy of this down (I have the 1st 50 releases plus more ut the 1st 50 to me are gold). I can see why people will quickly rubbish it but "Blowing my mind" has a special charm to me and I have played this out when I can quite a basic tune but pleasing to my ear. Big up the R!

70 copies were pressed of this. Quite a dull tune on first impressions but works a treat blended in with other hardcore tracks from that time. I have an un-stamped copy which must be unique to the release.

I don't know what track theyettidog and tranzyd below were listening to, but this R Solution 12" is anything but "poor", it is in fact one of the best 12"s ever released on Reinforced! The killer track is of course "Blowin' My Mind", very much in line with early Reinforced material by pre-drum'n'bass 4 Hero, tunes like "Make Ya See Spiders On The Wall", "Rising Son" "Move Wid The House Groove" and "Mr Kirk's Nightmare", really off-the-wall originality that went by the wayside once the drum and bass took over. When these 12's came out in the very early 90's there was little else like them, apart from Uzi Da Fluzi's G Double E and Genaside II, and Blaaps Posse, those early fluid days in the UK rave scene when anything was possible. "Blowin' My Mind" fit right in there!

Ok so this is a rare reinforced 12" but only in the sense that it wasn't released. I will be honest the tracks a very bland anyway. Perhaps it's because listening to other hardcore tunes produced from the same time just seem so much more inspiring. Sorry R Solution I support and bought your other productions. But aside from the rarity this is not deserving the price tag by any means. I have this missing from my reinforced collection, but really not fussed about that. My advice to anyone with £30 spare to buy some old 1991/1992 hardcore is to look elsewhere for something else worthy of the same price tag - like enforcers 2!!

It's one for the collectors though isn't it? This only came out as a promo in limited numbers and if you have all the other early Reinforced releases then you'll probably want this one too.
