Released on 'cult' collectors RCA SP promo-only series, the album 'Rock Satellite' contains great funky tunes, with some classic late 70's Disco and Boogie influences. There are definitely enough moments of musical grandeur to be. Recall Puccio Roelens' album Rock Satellite 1977 which was the same as the April Orchestra 13 posted here in the RCA series. We surely loved that one and didn't blame them for releasing it twice, indeed, even more releases would not have been undesirable. Quickly, the first 2 albums from Roelens included in this package from 1969 and 1971 are for me ordinary garbage, though occasionally an interesting melody rises up from the green bin's composting & recarbonizing contents. But in 1976 with Research of Sound we get to the funky fusion we love so dearly. Rock Satellite. Disc IDs. Cover Art 1. Additional details. Type: Album. Status: Promotion. Data Quality: Normal. I really dont understand the rules that dictate which releases are choosen to be re-issued from an artist of library music (the only reason i can relate is the existence or not of the master tapes but even this can be surpassed through todays technology) but this album is by far one of the best if not the best of Puccio Roelens and yet, the album getting the offical re-issue was another one. Also, judging for the amount of bootleged reissues it seems that the official licencing (fee and process) is too expensive or complicated. Consider the possibility that this was indeed going to receive an official, licensed reissue from original master tape. And that such a release never happened because the "Fifth Dimension" put out this crappy bootleg that is a bad digital transfer of a bad vinyl rip. And repressed it two or three times, under multiple fake label names. We are talking about a super niche market where even a HQ reissue of top record like this might only move 300-500 copies worldwide, so really any bootleg is going to destroy the economics of doing a proper reissue. Doing things right isn't cheap. This crappy bootleg is. If you want a one-off, get a lathe made of a good .flac rip... won't be any better than what Fifth is doing. Their Plantasia bootleg is missing an entire channel!! They could not care less about the artist, the art or the consumer, and it shows.

Indeed, compared to the original ones, these Fifth Dimension bootlegs have bad quality! Nothing for audiophile listeners like me! Besides I don't like to support bootleg labels! Stop the piracy!
