While lyrically not a concept album, it is produced so that many songs flow from one to another, forming an album rather than a collection of songs. Loaded with poetic post-punk dirges, Protomartyr's Relatives In Descent is the Detroit band's most dynamic and well-written release in Descent is the fourth studio album by Detroit post-punk band Protomartyr.
