However one night at a local rock-bar i heard the song Cant see the angels , and it immidiately stuck in my mind. I asked the dj about that song and he told me it was Praying Mantis. Later that weekened i checked out the rest of Praying Mantis material. I was a fool not having paying attention to their following releases since they kill. This one, while it has some nice moments, largely slips into forgettable 80s rock - not really energetic, lacking the great guitar riffs and harmony passages that bring up their previous album. I have one more album by them 1998's Forever in Time, which is a lot better than Predator in Disguise - still kind of 80s mainstream rock sound, but the energy, songwriting, and guitar work to make it interesting.
