Florian Fricke produced music by some Indian musicians that visited him in his studio and someone took the tapes of this recording and released them under the Popol Vuh name without his permission.

Quoting from an interview Fricke gave to Eurock.com: " YOGA is an unauthorized release. Some Indian musicians visited me in my studio, and somebody else took the tapes and sold them under the name of Popol Vuh, but it had nothing to do with Popol Vuh, really. I'm playing harmonium, and organ. I think it was released in Italy."

Popol Vuh were a German musical collective founded by keyboardist Florian Fricke in 1969 together with Holger Trülzsch percussion, Frank Fiedler recording engineer and Bettina Fricke tablas and production. Other important members during the next two decades included Djong Yun, Renate Knaup, Conny Veit, Daniel Fichelscher, Klaus Wiese, and Robert Eliscu.
