Later on, Pepe Deluxé's sound was also noted by another jeans company, Levi's, which chose the track Before You Leave based heavily on an original composition by Tony Hatch for their worldwide advertising campaign in 2001, subsequently winning the Gold Lion for best use of music in Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival. Pepe Deluxe - Super Sound Album Review : Review of Pepe Deluxe's album Super Sound released on Catskills. Pepe Deluxe: все альбомы, включая Giraffes on Horseback Salad , The Surrealist Woman Theme from Salvador Dali's Giraffes on Horseback Salad , Angry Birds Go и другие. Somewhere between big-beat techno and more laidback trip-hop, the first album by Pepe Deluxe works in familiar territory. Many of these samples have been heard before, and the influences ranging from easy listening to soundtracks to hip-hop aren't very original either. Even if Super Sound doesn't earn points for the sound, however, it's an album of crisp grooves and hook-inflected tracks that never get boring. Pepe Deluxé Super Sound. This record may be selling for just a few dollars but to me it is one of the most incredible Big Beat style tunes (Super Sound) ever to grace vinyl. It is soooo difficult to make good quality big beat as it uses elements of music from the 1960's and 1970's light years before people made music with nice steady metronomes. So if you are a sampling maniac producer like myself you have to work around bad timing structures etc.. to fit these old segments into your new production and believe me it is a nightmare. I cannot even comprehend the magnitude of work that went into the track Supersound and the creative minds that are Pepe Deluxe to have been brilliant enough to find the exact needed bits to pull this amazing feat off in such style and grace, let alone to have every thing sync together so smoothly as if they made the song in 1969. I have personally played this Big Beat monster of a tune wrldwide (And I do not give a crap what idiotic British journalists say about how Big Beat is dead whatever just because Fat Boy Slim had a bad day and publicly said Big Beat is dead and was a fad etc.. etc.. Big Beat is not dead and tell that to the tens of thousands of kids who lose their minds at worldwide festivals and clubs each and every time I play Big Beat tunes like this masterpiece. Mark my words that in time as music is fashion Big Beat will again be the rave and all the killer producers who made excellent music of this style like Deadly Avenger, Touche, Skeewiff (still producing this style), Krafty Kuts, Pepe Deluxe of course, Propellorheads, Digby Fox, Ictus (still making this style), etc.. will all again jump on the bandwagon and give us more killer tunes.

Just realised I also bought the track that follows it on the mix, Kings of the Wild Frontier – "Trans Am" too.

Hi Freddy. I'm sitting here, 11 years later, reminiscing about the old days. I first heard this track on the All Mixed Up mix you did back in 1999. I was going to France to study for a year then and my grandma had given me 20 quid to buy myself something before I went. All Mixed Up was on at one of my local record stores (Track, York, UK), and that's where the money went. When I got back to the UK a year later, I ended buying this 12". Now I've just put everything onto Discogs for the first time, here you are. Thanks Freddy Fresh. Too many memories with this (and the rest of All Mixed Up) as a soundtrack coming back to me now. It all stands the test of time, no doubt. Adam.
