Marc , commonly known as the Green Album despite the fact that the cover is yellow, or Orbital 1, is the debut studio album by English electronic music duo Orbital, released on 30 September 1991 by FFRR Records. The alternate title comes from the fact that Orbital made both of their first 2 albums self-titled, forcing fans to call it something else to distinguish it from the 2nd album. it is called the Green Album due to a color misprint with the first vinyl pressing. Orbital also known as Orbital 2 or the Brown Album is the eponymous second studio album by English electronic music duo Orbital, released on 24 May 1993 by Internal and FFRR Records. The album peaked at number 28 on the UK Albums Chart. On Orbital the duo aimed to make more atmospheric music than the dance raves of their first album. They used more complex rhythms and denser arrangements on the appropriately named pieces entitled Lush but still proving themselves capable of making quality pop. Exclusive To The Guide CD, Comp, Promo. The Guardian, FFRR. GUARD 1. I am listening to the first album now and when I compare it to fellow 1991 albums like Ex:el, The Orb's fairly low on the ideas front. Brown album was ok but again for 93 it was nowhere near as strong as many albums from a year earlier, they caught up slightly with Snivilisation but still their were so many albums by unknowns that killed it on the ideas front. I don't dislike them I just rate so many others way ahead of them thats all. Orbital - In Sides review: Danceable enough that you wont get weird looks from your friends but varied and interesting enough to keep you listening for a long, long time. It was cool right up to the very end. The closing paragraph seems abrupts and tacked on to two sentences that should probably just be part of the previous paragraph. Like I said the first time though, this is my favorite Orbital CD and I'm glad to see a review for it. Digging: Make Them Suffer - How to Survive a Funeral. Merkaba33 March 22nd 2009. Thirty years of success in the music industry is a lot to walk away from, especially when you've got something big to say. Brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll, known to dance fans as British duo Orbital, have never shied away from a big message. It really fell into place when one of the producers we've dealt with in the past had a listen to the album in its early stages and he said why don't you play it with brass, the lead sound It gave it the extra edge of hysteria that I wanted, and now its kind of jolly, but it's kind of warped as well, like a record player table that's about to be chewed up. The Raid The Raid is the veneer off. Her album Back to Black had sat in the UK top 10 for the entire year up to that point, so demand to see Amy Winehouse at her too-brief peak was understandably huge. The truly dedicated could see her twice on the Friday - a slightly stunned mid-afternoon set for the flag-waving masses at the Pyramid Stage, and then a more relaxed showing on the smaller Jazz World Stage as it got dark. In fact, he joined Orbital, Jarvis Cocker, Radiohead and the rest on the list of musicians who successfully leaped to the next level on the biggest stage of them all.
